Welcome to The Cottage! A pet friendly, super cute, and quiet studio apartment built in 2016, located above the detached garage behind my house. Pets always stay for free, and no additional cleaning fees are charged. Private self access is provided so you come and go as you please. The unit has a full kitchen, king sized bed, 4 pillows, 100% cotton sheets and coverlet. Laundry detergent and dish soap are provided. Trash is located on the west sideof the building. The unit is accessed via an exterior door on the south side of the building. This door leads to a small foyer where the entry to the unit is located. Once inside the unit, you will be in the downstairs area which has an antique buffet cabinet and desk and a stacked washer and dryer located in one of the closets in that space. Upstairs you will find a small walk-in closet where clothes can be hung and suitcases stored, a bathroom with shower, and a very large open space with kitchen, small dining area, king size bed, and antique chest of drawers. Trash bins are located on the west side of the detached garage building. Please follow the concrete steps and you will find them. Parking is free and on site. There is dedicated space for the unit located in front of the detached garage. Occasionally, you may find a car parked in the driveway but if you need to head out or get in, please ring the doorbell at the main house and the car will be promptly moved. Additionally, street parking is free M-F from 3pm to 7am, and all day Sat and Sun. I live in the main house located in front of The Cottage and am available if you have any issues. Located adjacent to the trendy SoDo District - a business district surrounded by many of Orlando’s historic neighborhoods known for their lakes, walkable parks and streets - in a quiet, safe neighborhood where you will see families strolling in the evening with their dogs. There are a generous amount of boutique-style shops and mom-and-pop restaurants which offer diverse shopping and dining options. Within walking distance you will find a few of my favorites: - Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream which is a local, handcrafted ice cream shop that makes all of their ice creams and sorbets from scratch. In addition to their dairy ice creams, they also offer non-dairy alternatives. - The Aardvark (which offers over 200 different beers) plus delicious "Seasonal, Fresh, and From Scratch” locally sourced fresh fish, meats, and produce creating their take on Florida Gulf inspired cuisine. - The ever popular Johnny's Fillin' Station and Johnny's Other Side - a family owned and operated patio bar and restaurant featuring an extensive Wine, Draft Beer, Bourbon, and Drink Menu, Live Music several nights a week, Texas Hold'em Wednesdays, Team Trivia Thursdays, Brunch on Saturday and Sunday, multiple flat screen TVs to watch your game, and Cornhole. We are located about 20-30 minutes from Universal Studios and 30-40 minutes from Disney, depending on traffic. When in Florida, always assume if there is a body of water, there is an alligator (big or small). If you walk your pets anywhere near a lake, please maintain a minimum of 25 feet from the water’s edge. Incidents rarely happen, but I always say better safe than sorry. You may see a beautiful gray tabby cat named Zoe around the property. She is my indoor/outdoor rescue cat who adopted my mom years ago in Mississippi.
