The location was excellent and the neighborhood felt very secure, making it ideal for our family gathering. The space accommodated everyone well, although the pool was a bit chilly since the heater was out of order. Thankfully, we enjoyed the hot tub, which was a great alternative! The guest studios near the pool offered a nice retreat for those needing some quiet time. Being an older property, there are some signs of age, which is to be expected. We faced issues with the refrigerator and freezer; the freezer functioned more like a fridge, leaving us without ice as everything melted. The stairs can be a bit tricky, and with only one bedroom on the main level, it may not be the best fit for guests who have mobility challenges, especially since there's no bath or shower in the main house. Overall, it was an affordable option for our group when costs were shared among families.
We arrived on a flight that landed around 1:00 PM, hoping to enjoy some lunch before checking in at the scheduled time of 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, when we returned at 4:00, we learned that the cleaning crew was still working, and we would have to wait a while longer. After several inquiries, it wasn't until about 7:45 PM that we were finally granted access to the property. To make matters worse, there was an ongoing bathroom renovation due to a leak, and workers were still in the unit cutting tiles until approximately 9:30 PM. Additionally, a used toilet and sink, complete with a plunger, were left in the kitchen area for the duration of our stay. There was no acknowledgement or apology from the owner regarding these inconveniences. I did inquire about a potential refund for the delayed check-in and the disturbances but received no follow-up. Overall, it was quite a frustrating experience, and I would hesitate to book with them again.
