Had a fantastic stay! The property manager was very accommodating and the place itself was wonderful.
The host was fantastic and went above and beyond to help us when we needed a place to stay last minute due to the hurricane. We really appreciated their flexibility.
We arrived at the property after our flight, landing around 1:00 PM. We expected to check in at 4:00 PM, but upon arrival, we were informed that the cleaning crew was still working and it would take a bit longer. We waited until 5:49 PM for an update and received no response. After asking again at 7:02 PM, we were told someone would get back to us. Unfortunately, we didn’t gain access until nearly 7:45 PM. To our surprise, there was a leak in the downstairs bathroom, and workers were still there laying tile, which they continued to do until around 9:30 PM. They left behind a used toilet, sink, and plunger in the kitchen during our stay. There was no apology or attempt to rectify the situation. I even inquired about a possible refund due to the late check-in and the various issues we faced, but I was told they’d have to consult the owner, and I never received any follow-up. Overall, a very frustrating experience. I wouldn't consider staying here again.
The location of the rental is quite far from the convention center, taking over 30 minutes on foot or about 5 minutes by car. The room itself felt small, accommodating just one double bed, a couch, and a mini table. Unfortunately, the shower was also not functioning properly, and there were no kitchen facilities available. Considering the price, I found it to be quite unreasonable given the location and amenities provided. Thankfully, the owner's adherence to Airbnb's policy allowed for a full refund, but paying over $300 seemed excessive for what was offered. I hope that future guests can see improvements in both pricing and facilities.
